Job Summary We are seeking an Accountant Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the companys financial integrity, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic financial insights to management
. You will support the accounting department by maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing payments, data entry, reconciliations, and other essential accounting tasks. The ideal candidate is highly organized with strong mathematical and problem-solving skills. Some experience in financial preparation and analytics is preferred. Project based or construction accounting a plus.
Key Responsibilities - Work with a Global team
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements
- Enter financial data and transactions
- Vendor, Supplier, and Customer Relations
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare customer invoices, submit to client preferred portals, and follow up for timely payments
- Maintain deferred revenue schedule
- Match bills against purchase orders, obtain approvals, and ensure proper coding in financial system
- Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered
- Weekly Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Support financial planning, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Monitor General email accounts and distribute information to appropriate channels
- Analyze financial information and present to management
- Assist in the creation of accounting policies to comply with all rules and regulations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments
- Assist in the month end close process
- Prepare Ad-hoc reports as requested
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in accounting or a related financial field
- Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position
- 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in logistics, construction, or infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of construction/project -based accounting and WIP schedules
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong Data Entry and Mathematical Skills
- Advanced Excel Skills and QuickBooks Desktop experience preferred
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills, flexibility, and ability to resolve disputes
