Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

The primary role of the Accounts Payable Specialist is to compute, classify, and record numerical data to maintain complete financial records. This position involves extensive use of technology and may require work in areas closely related to computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform timely and accurate three-way matching in SAP between purchase order, goods receipt, and vendor invoice.
• Research and resolve any accounts payable issues before processing invoice payments.
• Process assigned PO invoices within 5 business days of receipt.
• Process assigned non-PO invoices within 3 business days of receipt.
• Communicate effectively with plants and vendors as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Complete accounts payable closing by the 3rd business day of the subsequent month.
• Handle daily imaging of corporate accounts payable documents.
• Participate in other duties and projects as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in accounts payable processes.
• Experience with purchase orders and three-way matching.
• 2+ years of full-cycle high-volume accounts payable invoicing.
• Familiarity with SAP is a big plus.
• Strong skills in Excel.
• Experience with month-end closing procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2 years of accounts payable experience preferred.

Work Environment

The position allows for a hybrid work schedule with 3 days a week at the headquarters office in Kansas City, KS, and 2 days remote at leadership's discretion. Mandatory in-office presence on Wednesdays. Standard working hours are from 7/8 am to 4/5 pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for lunch breaks. The facility includes a spacious cafeteria offering a variety of meal options throughout the week. Performance determines eligibility for remote work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
