The position will ensure that all vacated apartments are thoroughly restored to "make ready" status and diagnose problems and make repairs in areas such as dry walling, painting, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, and appliance repair. Duties include inspecting vacated apartments and completing checklists in regard to make-ready; replacing or repairing windows, latches, screens, hinges, sliding glass doors, shelves, baseboards, mirrors, closets, curtains, mini-blinds, ceiling fans, lights, etc.; checking faucets, sink plugs and repairing/replacing as necessary; replacing washers when needed; performing exterior repair to sinks, bathtubs, etc., when warranted; assisting with painting and drywall repair; making new keys when requested; replacing vacancy lock (if applicable) on day lock is changed for new resident move-in; sharing cleaning and grounds-keeping duties with all the maintenance staff. Requirements include maintenance and repair experience in painting, drywall, basic electric and plumbing; availability for on call rotation evenings and weekends; ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
