As a Security Officer - Armed Mall Patrols in San Antonio, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a dynamic retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help prevent incidents, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to carry out your duties with professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility. You will interact with the public and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the values of Allied Universal. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for an armed patrol post.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail business and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other security-related incidents.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential disturbances and provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors as needed.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards according to Allied Universal and client site procedures.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as required during critical situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements if the position involves driving.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
