Job Description

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking CNC Machine Operators to join their team. As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be part of the production department supporting the manufacturing team. 

Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

Location: Dyer, IN

Pay Range: up to $28 per hour

What's the Job?

• Responsible for CNC Machinery, demonstrating proficiency in fixtures, tooling, controls, and conducting ongoing equipment maintenance and care.
• Conduct minimal deburring and surface protection on work pieces.
• Take detailed measurements and preliminary evaluations to ensure workpiece acceptability and troubleshoot issues that arise during the machining process.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and records relating to production, downtime, quality, and other relevant metrics.
• Assist in fixture set up and ensure that area housekeeping is maintained, including machine and storage areas.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 1 or more years of recent machine operation experience, preferably in a metal cutting and/or fabricating industry.
• Able to measure accurately using various measuring tools as well as perform basic shop math and blueprint reading.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Knowledge of operating requirements and experience with manufacturing equipment, including different types of cutting tools and their appropriate usage.
• Effective communication skills with team members, supervisors, and engineers.
