Overview :

Edelson PC, a nationally recognized plaintiff’s firm, is looking to hire an in-house Communications Director. At Edelson, we take a creative approach to communications and PR that sets us apart from other firms. Through attention-grabbing tactics like musical videos and parodies, we bring a unique flair to raising awareness about consumer rights issues and the work of our trailblazing attorneys. As our new Communications Director, you'll help implement an innovative strategy that leverages unexpected mediums to drive brand recognition and meaningful industry reform. Help us shape narratives and spark change through envelope-pushing communications.

Responsibilities :

• Draft and edit press releases, social media posts, and other communication materials
• Assist in executing the firm’s press strategy, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging
• Monitor developments within the firm and the broader legal landscape, facilitating timely internal communications
• Engage with various media outlets and platforms to promote the firm’s work and achievements
• Contribute to the development of communication strategies and marketing materials

Qualifications :

• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear and compelling content under tight deadlines
• Prior experience in communications, public relations, or a related field, preferably within the legal sector or high stakes environments
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• A proactive team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to support and collaborate within the Communications Department and with other teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field
