Counsel / Lawyer- Corporate In-house Positio

Are you a seasoned insurance law professional looking for a role where

Counsel to join our growing team at a national property and casualty
insurance group based in Long Beach, New York.

This isnt a back-office legal role. Youll be at the table with
leadership, helping guide regulatory strategy, shaping corporate
governance, and ensuring we stay ahead of industry changes. If you

What Youll Do

- Be the go-to advisor on a wide range of insurance issues from
underwriting and claims to reinsurance and regulatory compliance.

- Lead corporate governance efforts, including board activities,
compliance matters, and company policies.

- Handle regulatory filings, licensing, and approvals with Insurance
Departments nationwide.

- Track new laws, regulations, and case law so we stay ahead of the
curve.

- Support agreements including reinsurance, agency, and related-party
transactions.

- Partner with outside counsel on investment-related matters when
needed.

What Were Looking For

- JD from an accredited law school + active bar admission (New York
preferred).

- 7+ years in insurance law with strong regulatory and corporate
governance experience.

- Solid knowledge of insurance operations and coverage principles.

- Excellent communicator who can translate complex legal issues into
clear business guidance.

- Organized, adaptable, and confident managing multiple priorities.

- Experience in a corporate legal department or insurance company is a
big plus.
