At Network for Hope (NFH), the Data Manager provides day-to-day leadership and management of the department staff and assures effort in alignment with NFH's mission and core values. The Data Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and driving initiatives that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and the overall quality of organizational processes. This role involves collaborating with various departments to identify opportunities for improvement, developing and implementing process enhancements, and ensuring continuous and accurate data aligned with the organization's mission to optimize organ, tissue, and eye donation and transplantation outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities Operational Oversight and Execution

  • Provides daily operational oversight of the Data team, including planning and executing short and long-term goals in collaboration with the Performance Excellence Director.
  • Directs the goals, training, competencies and evaluation of department positions responsible for data activities.
  • Responsible for ensuring ongoing competence of staff through development and implementation of a comprehensive orientation program, ongoing education and training, and focused learning and training activities.
  • Lead, coordinate, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization, focusing on enhancing quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Acts as a resource and subject matter expert on data architecture and analysis.
  • Attends relevant local, regional, and national meetings as required or assigned to represent the interests of NFH and to identify best practices to equip the team and organization with the necessary tools for success.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with department heads and staff to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities by analyzing data, reviewing processes, and consulting with stakeholders.
  • Communicate data efforts and outcomes to internal stakeholders, including senior leadership and external stakeholders under the direction of the Performance Excellence Director.
  • Provides coaching to leaders and staff members through metrics development and recommendation for improvement focus based on findings.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Oversees the development and maintenance of data and reports, dashboards, charts, and graphs to optimize operational processes, effectively measure performance, and drive successful improvement outcomes.
  • Analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and identify opportunities for improvement initiatives.
  • Oversees the accuracy and availability of Network for Hope's electronic donor system, including coordinating change requests, ensuring functionality and accuracy of updates and changes, and coordinating deployment to the live system as the system evolves.
  • Ensures that all data-related activities comply with relevant regulations, guidelines, and industry best practices.

Performance Excellence

  • Monitors and assesses the effectiveness of various improvement plans and initiatives, conducting regular audits and assessments to ensure successful implementation and management of change.
  • Continuously monitors performance metrics and outcomes for improvement plans and initiatives, proactively identifying trends and areas for further improvement to maintain high standards of performance.
  • Researches and stays current with emerging improvement, implementation, and change management methodologies and trends.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field required.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of data analytics, data engineering in or a related role required. Experience with SQL, Python, and Power BI required. Experience with AI/machine learning is helpful but not required. Minimum of two years of management or supervisory experience required. Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Certification in data analytics, SQL, Python, or AI helpful but not required.
