Summary/Objective:
The Pneumatic/Vacuum Truck Operator will perform a wide range of physical activities that require strength and flexibility of the whole body for handling, positioning, moving, and manipulating equipment and materials and vacuum truck operations. The Vacuum Operator/CDL Driver will be responsible for driving and operating efficiently and safely all power equipment and vehicles in accordance with DOT laws and regulations
Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up all necessary equipment in accordance with operation training and guidelines and safety procedures
- Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to personal protective gear.
- Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and industrial settings.
- Manually clean, install, fit repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and all other external and internal equipment.
- Assist in general maintenance of company equipment, service, grease, etc.
- Wash and clean company equipment - Pressure wash, clean cabs, etc.
- General housekeeping - sweeping floors, taking out trash, and helping keep work areas clean and organized.
- Help with future job load outs or unloads from previous jobs - Return equipment and PPE back to designated areas.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- No experience required.
- Must be 21 years of age per the FMCSA guidelines.
- Must possess a valid Class A CDL.
- Overnights and weekends are required.
- AUTO Restriction will be accepted but we do prefer drivers that are capable of driving manual transmission.
- TWIC card required or be able to obtain one. The company will re-imburse.
- Must pass hair follicle and urine drug screen.
- Must possess a Medical Examiner's Certificate or be able to obtain one.
- Must be capable of passing a personal background screen.
- Must be capable of passing an MVR background screen.
- Commercial Driver Operator runs under the FMCSA 70-hour rule.
- Willing to respond to emergency calls 24 hours, 7 days a week as needed.
- Willing to perform all required job duties in accordance with training.
- Willing to perform all job duties in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Willing to understand and follow all given directions.
Physical Requirements:
- Physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities assigned
- Physically capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds
- Physically capable of standing and/or walking continuously for long periods of time
- Physically capable of climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, and kneeling
- Physically capable of working in all inclement weather conditions
Pay Range: $28 - $31 per hour
