About the Role
The Company is seeking a full-time Executive Director to lead its mission of providing children and families with opportunities to learn and grow through the power of play. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, growth initiatives, and program development that align with the organization's vision. This role requires a leader who can serve as the public representative and advocate for the museum, maintain a productive partnership with the Board of Directors, and oversee all aspects of the museum's operations, including fundraising, team management, and community engagement. The Executive Director will also be tasked with fostering a human-centered, inclusive culture and advancing accessibility initiatives. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years' leadership experience in a relevant field, with a strong preference for a Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement, as well as experience in budgeting, HR, and external partnerships. A collaborative, empowering, and mission-aligned leadership style is essential, as is a deep respect for early childhood development, inclusion, and creative play. The role demands a strategic thinker who is also a skilled communicator, capable of building relationships with a diverse range of individuals, from children and families to donors and civic leaders.
