Are you a fashion-forward individual eager to gain hands-on experience in the fashion industry and sharpen your skills in fashion merchandising? If so, we invite you to join Southern Shirt as a Fashion and Merchandise Intern.

This internship opportunity will provide you with the valuable opportunity to work closely with our experienced production and design team, sales team and marketing team. You will gain insight into various aspects of the industry. You'll have the chance to contribute your ideas and assist in executing strategies that elevate our brand and drive sales.
Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with photoshoots and our social media team
• Collaborate with the sales team and participate in tradeshows to gain knowledge of the business's wholesale operations.
• Manage the fabric library for the production department
• Organize and oversee the storage of sample archives and development samples
• Create swatch books for the sales team

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in fashion merchandising, business, or a related field.
• Passion for fashion and a strong interest in the retail industry.
• Working knowledge of fashion trends and an understanding of customer preferences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn from a fast-paced and dynamic fashion environment.
• Positive attitude and a willingness to take initiative.
