Instructional Designer – W2 Contract

Location: Onsite – Madison, WI 53703, United States

Pay Rate: $36/hour (W2 only)

Duration: 7 months

Start Date: ASAP

Employment Type: Contractor (No C2C or 1099)

About the Opportunity

Swoon is hiring on behalf of one of our  top enterprise clients , a leader in the customer experience and support industry. We’re looking for a  creative and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to join their Learning & Development team. This is a  full-time, onsite contract role based in  Madison, WI , ideal for someone passionate about designing impactful training solutions that drive performance and engagement.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and deliver engaging learning materials including eLearning modules, vILT sessions, job aids, and microlearning assets.
• Apply instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles to create effective, interactive training.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content and translate complex information into simple, actionable learning.
• Use tools such as  Articulate Rise/Storyline , Adobe Creative Suite, and LMS platforms to build digital content.
• Adapt and update training materials based on evolving tools and internal systems, including support platforms like  Zendesk .
• Evaluate learner feedback and data to improve course effectiveness.
• Ensure all materials are aligned with business goals and learner needs.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field.
• 1–3 years of professional experience in instructional design.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Articulate Rise 360 and/or Storyline
• Adobe Creative Suite
• Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Madison, WI 53703 —  this is not a remote role .
