Job Description

Rydal Park & Waters, a premier Life Plan Community located in Jenkintown, is hiring full-time Lead Servers to support our catered events!

Shifts available:

• Monday-Friday + occasional weekends as needed, 7am-3pm
• 4 week days + every other weekend, 11:30am-7:30pm
• 4 week days + every other weekend, 12:30pm-8:30pm

Pay Range: $17-20/hour depending on experience 

The day-to-day work includes the following:

• Routinely setting up, clearing and cleaning and resetting dining room.
• Taking menu orders and serving residents and guests meals in a timely and gracious manner.
• Providing quality customer service to residents and guests.
• Assembles and delivers all food and supplies for catered functions to their scheduled locations.
• Logs and maintains food temperatures.
• Arranges tables and decorations.
• Prepares hors d’oeuvres, fancy and plain sandwiches, deli plates/platters, and salads.
• Arrange buffet tables with food, beverage and service items according to established standards.
• Serve food and beverages to guests.
• Returns food and beverages, serving equipment and utensils to the catering facility.
• Distributes and collects customer comment cards for catered functions.
• Stocks, cleans and maintains the catering facility and equipment.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment; performs job safely.

To be successful in the role, you would have:

• Prior catering experience preferred
• Prior customer service experience
• Prior food service, fast food or restaurant experience
• Prior experience working with seniors preferred
• Prior supervisory experience preferred 
• Food Handler’s or ServSafe certification preferred
• Availability that might include evenings, weekends, & holidays
