Summary

The Marketing Specialist is an important member of the Broadway Across America’s (BAA) North office in Minneapolis. This position will execute digital media advertising plans, collaborate on social media campaigns, conduct marketing analysis, implement data segmentation for greater sales results and be an integral member of a small team. Overall, they will help with the tactical implementation of advertising and public relations campaigns to ensure successful Broadway engagements in Appleton, East Lansing, Grand Rapids, Madison, Milwaukee, Minneapolis and Omaha.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Theatre or Arts Administration preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
• Experience and knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Sheets and Docs preferred
• Maturity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic are essential

Communication Skills

• Attention to detail, proof-reading, copy-editing skills
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret advertising plans, digital advertising reports, customer data and ticket sales reporting
• Ability to write marketing copy that conform to prescribed style and format
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from partners, colleagues, or members of the industry
• Ability to effectively present information to colleagues

Critical Thinking

• Strong analytical, planning, & organizational skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects at a time with good time management skills in order to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to prioritize projects based on deadlines, time needed to complete, and order of importance
• Able to create dynamic marketing strategies under the direction of the Vice President, North, Senior Marketing Manager and Marketing Associate for each show to maximize visibility with target audiences
