We are a non-profit long term care facility that offers independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care. SUMMARY

The Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) is responsible for the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of direct service delivery to the Sharon at SouthPark's Health Center and Assisted Living residents and holds the license of record with the state. The LNHA is responsible for directing the overall operation of the Health Center and Assisted Living 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, in accordance with current local, state and federal standards, guidelines and regulations to ensure that the highest degree of quality resident care is provided in the most fiscally responsible manner at all times.

The LNHA is charged with achieving annual revenue and expense targets through effective budgeting and census management. The LNHA works closely with leadership to achieve excellence in service delivery, financial soundness, and the successful strategic development of The Sharon at SouthPark.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Compliance

  1. Serves as Compliance Manager.
  2. Establishes and directs the implementation of written policies and procedures that reflect the goals and objectives of the facility within the framework of the regulations under which the facility is held.
  3. Interprets the facilities' policies and procedures and local, state and federal regulations for facility staff, residents, family members, etc. as necessary.
  4. Reviews policies and procedures at least annually and make changes as necessary to ensure that compliance with current regulations is maintained.
  5. Enforces facility policies and procedures.

Operations

  1. Directly supervises the Director of Nursing, Dietician, and Social Services Manager.
  2. Works closely with the leadership team.
  3. Serves in partnership with leadership to assure accomplishment of facility goals.
  4. Participates in planning and implementation of Strategic Framework and Guiding Principles.
  5. Oversees operational budgets for Nursing and Assisted Living, working to identify opportunities for efficiency and for the effective use of financial resources
  6. Establishes measurable goals and benchmarks for all operational areas, and track performance against agreed upon standards and trends.
  7. Oversees Census Management for the purpose of addressing resident needs and achieving revenue goals
  8. Works to maintain a culture of excellence and respect in caring for residents and staff, while demonstrating an openness to new ideas/concepts.
  9. Works with outside providers/vendors to enhance operational excellence and quality resident care.
  10. Assists in the selection of outside providers/vendors.

Resident and Family Relations

  1. Meets with residents/families as needed or requested to identify concerns and to assist with the management of family expectations.
  2. Responds to identified concerns in a timely manner.
  3. Attends Resident's Council Health Care Advisory Committee meetings.

Team Member Relations

  1. Participates in monthly "Chats" with team members.
  2. Creates an atmosphere of open communication with team members.
  3. Attends team member recognition events whenever possible.

Board Relations

  1. Attends Board Committee meetings as assigned.
  2. Attends quarterly Board meetings.
  3. Creates and submits quarterly Compliance report to the Board.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION

Must hold a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and a current NC Nursing Home Administrator's license. Must also have knowledge of employment law, rules, and regulations.

Must have the ability to speak and write fluently in the English language and demonstrate a high level of communication and listening skills. Must be able to work with many types of people, and readily generate and maintain rapport with others.

Must demonstrate leadership skills with the capacity to inspire, motivate and challenge others.

EXPERIENCE

A minimum of five years employment experience in a Continuing Care Retirement Community is required with the experience showing progressively increasing responsibility.
