Job Description

Providing occupational therapy services for a diverse K-12 student population, this role supports a dynamic school environment from mid-October through January, covering a maternity leave contract. The position requires delivering effective therapy to students with a variety of needs across multiple schools, helping them achieve their educational and developmental goals.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade, addressing a range of mild to severe disabilities.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 76 students across six schools, with the majority of services focused on three schools, including two located on the same campus.
• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to students unique needs.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students with diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Delay, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly to maximize functional and educational outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license with experience in school-based settings.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices for working with children diagnosed with ASD, Developmental Delay, and other related impairments.
• Ability to manage a large caseload and coordinate services across multiple school sites.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with school staff and families.
• Flexibility and adaptability to cover maternity leave assignment with variable weekly hours between 37.5 and 40.
