Ken Fulk Inc. is seeking a designer with a minimum of 10 years of professional interior design experience for our San Francisco studio.

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams through all phases of projects : programming, conceptual design, design development, purchasing and production, project management, and installation.
  • Work and lead multiple (4-6) projects efficiently with various project teams. 
  • Prepare and deliver client presentations, including 2D renderings, mood boards, material samples, and oversight of 3D renderings.
  • Prepare and deliver project budgets, schedules and present design concepts, budgets, proposals, and presentations to clients.
  • Oversee and coordinate all phases of project design, from concept development to installation.
  • Source ff&e, artwork, and design custom pieces. 
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other consultants to ensure design intent is achieved.
  • Work with vendors and artists to keep projects running smoothly and on time.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and intermediate interior designers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and products, and incorporate them into design concepts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and industry professionals.
  • Contribute to the studio in a way that pushes us to constantly elevate and expand our work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
  • 10+ years of experience as an interior designer, with a focus on high-end residential or commercial projects.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing successfully completed projects and individual works that represent significant contribution.
  • Proficiency in Proficiency in AutoCAD software, InDesign, Photoshop, and the Microsoft Suite; experience in Sketchup, 3D and AI is a bonus.
  • Proficiency in completing final-stage design documentation and details and seeing them through successful construction administration.
  • Proficiency in purchasing systems.
  • Strong visual communication style.
  • Strong sense of organization and professionalism.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction methods.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team of designers.
  • Hospitality and Residential experience is required.

Position is full time and based in San Francisco at “The Magic Factory.” Compensation based on experience ($115,000 - $140,000).
