This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California . The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science (BS) in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with a minimum of 8 years of experience with a background in metallic materials; OR a Master of Science (MS) degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with a minimum of 6 years of experience with a background in metallic materials. Experience with metal fabrication and design Experience with repair processes for metal materials Experience with the qualification of metals or metallurgical processes Experience with material selection Preferred Qualifications: Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company. Master’s Degree in discipline of Materials Science or similar Subject Matter Expertise in one of the following areas: Metals joining (soldering, brazing, or welding), forgings, advanced material selection, or heat treatment. Experience with spacecraft structures Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to collaborate in a team environment Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplishing them simultaneously Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions Experience with military specs and standards Experience interfacing with a military customer Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $187,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
