Job Description

A Special Education Teacher is needed to support elementary students in a South Burlington, VT school setting for the upcoming school year on a contract basis. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a diverse student population, providing tailored instruction and support to meet individual learning needs within an inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with students specific learning goals
  • Deliver specialized instruction to students with disabilities in elementary grades
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to promote student success
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state guidelines and school policies
