We're hiring a Sr Staff Software Engineer to join our engineering team in Orlando, FL. This role focuses on developing high-performance C++ software that transforms satellite imagery into 3D Earth intelligence products for mapping and analysis. Projects are varied, including government prototyping activities and internal tool development. The team is collaborative and flexible, with engineers contributing across multiple areas depending on project needs.
Responsibilities: A day in the life/What the position will be doing
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance C++ software for 3D Earth imagery processing.
Implement mesh-to-mesh registration and support map server development.
Develop Python scripts and Linux-based workflows to support software tasks.
Contribute to internal prototyping projects.
Collaborate with distributed teams, including colleagues in Sweden.
Contribute across multiple projects and areas as needed, adapting to team priorities and evolving project requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to apply for and hold a U.S. Government Secret National Security Clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with 8+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Proficiency in C++ (at least C++17) and STL.
Solid understanding of operating systems, algorithms, linear algebra, and statistics .
Experience with Linux development environments and version control tools (e.g., Git/GitLab).
Ability to work onsite in Orlando, FL as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in 3D graphics programming , visualization, or game development (e.g., Vulkan).
Familiarity with Computer Vision, Remote Sensing, and GIS technologies.
Experience with drone or aerial navigation systems .
Proficiency in Python for software integration, testing, or analysis.
Familiarity with test automation and software porting across Linux platforms.

Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market within California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, and Washington:
