Our client is seeking to recruit a Warehouse Manager to join their current team. Reporting at C-level, the selected candidate will be overseeing the efficient receipt, warehousing, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide variety of FMCG products. The selected candidate will also be ensuring that productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and efficiently.

Main responsibilities:

• Strategically managing the Warehouse in compliance with the company's values, policies and vision;
• Overseeing incoming goods, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations;
• Ensuring efficient space utilisation;
• Initiating, coordinating and enforcing optimal operational policies and procedures;
• Adhering to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements;
• Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security;
• Managing stock control and reconciling with data storage system;
• Investigating any discrepancies in stock within one week and report findings 
• Liaising with clients and transportation companies;
• Planning work schedules, assigning tasks appropriately and appraising results;
• Recruiting, selecting, orientating, coaching and motivating employees;
• Producing reports and statistics on a regular basis;
• Receiving feedback and monitoring the quality of services provided;
• Monitoring and utilising the security systems and maintenance;
• Optimising the route planning process;
• Ensuring best practice in all aspects of operation;
• Leading the respective team by example and keeping subordinates motivated and always working as a team.

Interested candidates must:

• Have a minimum of five years previous working experience as a Warehouse Manager, preferably in the FMCG industry;
• Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs);
• Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices;
• Possess excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills;
• Be an energetic, motivated and enthusiastic individual;
• Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases;
• Be a quick problem solver, practical and able to meet daily unforeseen work challenges;
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security;
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
