The Town is seeking to fill an Operator position at the Water Treatment Plant. This position conducts operation and maintenance of the treatment plant and pump stations/tanks/reservoirs under the general guidance of the Plant Superintendent. Duties and responsibilities include plant monitoring, chemical treatment and pump operations, sample collection, testing protocols, plant and grounds maintenance, completion of status and activity reports. Required education and experience include High School graduation with two (2) years of experience in utility operations/trades/maintenance activities preferred. The ability to operate hand tools and medium equipment is necessary. The successful applicant will have or be able to obtain a Virginia Water Treatment License and Class B or A CDL within one (1) year of employment. The Town is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
