Travel Hospital Pharmacist 13+ Week Contract Bremerton, WA

Position Details:
Title: Travel Hospital Pharmacist
Location: Bremerton, WA area
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: 13 weeks+ (extension possible)
Schedule: 8-hour shifts (6:00 AM2:30 PM, 7:00 AM3:30 PM, 1:30 PM10:00 PM)
Hours: 40 hrs/week, includes weekends, possible on-call & holiday coverage
Key Responsibilities:
Provide safe, efficient, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care in compliance with DNV accreditation , state, and federal laws
Review and verify medication orders, evaluate patient profiles, and optimize therapy outcomes
Dispense medications, manage protocols, and monitor therapy for efficacy and safety
Respond to Code Blue emergencies and provide medication expertise on demand
Document clinical interventions and collaborate with healthcare providers
Educate patients and healthcare staff on medication therapy and safety practices
Maintain aseptic technique in sterile compounding and IV admixture preparation
Participate in quality assurance, medication use evaluations , and process improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications:
Active Washington State Pharmacist License Required
Minimum 2 years hospital pharmacy experience OR completion of an accredited residency / board certification Preferred
BLS Certification Required
Proficiency in inpatient/outpatient pharmacy operations, dosing adjustments, pharmacokinetics, and drug interaction management
Skilled in sterile compounding and infection control standards
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to type 20+ WPM and work accurately with IV admixtures and controlled substances
