Combustion\nTurbine Commissioning field service engineer is responsible for\nproviding field technical services for Siemens Energy combustion\nturbine -generators and associated auxiliary systems including commissioning,\nfact finding, trouble shooting, combustion dynamics & emissions tuning, and\nperiodic support of new unit installations.

  • Combustion\n Turbine Commissioning field service engineer is responsible for\n providing field technical services for Siemens Energy combustion\n turbine-generators and associated auxiliary systems including\n commissioning, fact finding, trouble shooting, combustion dynamics &\n emissions tuning, and periodic support of new unit installations.

  • Metrology field\n service engineer is responsible for providing metrology and alignment\n field services for Siemens Energy turbine-generators. These services will\n leverage CAD and GD&T experience utilizing portable CMM equipment and\n long- and short-range scanners.

  • Modal\n Analysis / Vibration  field service engineer is\n responsible for providing modal analysis, vibration analysis, and\n balancing field services for Siemens Energy steam and combustion\n turbine-generators.
  • \n
  • Steam\n Turbine Commissioning field service engineer is responsible for\n providing field technical services for Siemens Energy steam\n turbine-generators and their associated auxiliary systems including\n commissioning, fact finding, trouble shooting, valve stroking and timing,\n and periodic support of new unit installations. 
  • \n
  • Responsible\n for ensuring that working conditions are always safe. Travel with little\n to no advance notice to Siemens Energy customer sites throughout the US\n and internationally. Up to 80% travel required. Strong leadership\n and organizational skills with the ability to lead a crew of mechanics and\n interface with multiple levels of customer organization.

  • Good verbal\n communication skills with the ability to fluently speak, write, and read\n in English.
    \n Complete and submit detailed reports covering all job activity. Have\n flexibility to work overtime based on workload and can work both\n independently and within a team environment with the ability to lead the\n team. Innate desire for process improvement and sharing of lessons\n learned.

What You Bring (requirements)

  • Completed\n Bachelor’s Degree (or high school diploma/GED with equivalent experience)\n in Engineering/Engineering Technology preferred. 5 years of experience is\n required. Those with more experience may be considered for a higher level.
  • \n
  • Previous\n field experience in the Power Generation or Oil and Gas Industries with\n advanced knowledge in one or more of the following technical areas:

    • Commissioning\n (turbine-generator auxiliary systems)
    • \n
    • Combustion\n Dynamics Tuning
    • \n
    • Metrology\n and Alignment
    • \n
    • Modal\n Analysis
    • \n
    • Vibration\n Analysis
    • \n
    • Turbine-Generator\n Startup and Operations (T3000 knowledge a plus)

  • Analytical,\n detail oriented, well organized. Proficiency in Microsoft Office\n Suite software particularly Excel and Word are a must.

  • Experience\n reading, interpreting, and following technical drawings, schematics, and\n written work instructions/procedures is required.

  • As a federal\n contractor, Siemens Energy continues to monitor federal and state legal\n guidelines regarding the COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
