Job Description


American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of acute care experience, ARRT and BLS certification, and C-arm skills to work in a busy trauma level II setting.

Responsibilities


  • Position is in an acute care radiology department with 7 treatment areas
  • Covers inpatient, outpatient, OR, and emergency room patients including pediatrics through geriatrics
  • Average daily volume is 70-80 scans plus 5-15 OR cases
  • Uses EPIC (Citrix) EMR and PACS systems
  • Department utilizes OEC c-arms, Metronics o-arm, Fuji general and portable units, and Siemens fluoroscopy equipment
  • Shift options include 8 or 12 hour days, nights, weekends, and variable start times; shifts may start at 0600, 0700, 0730, or 1130
  • Call required 1-2 days during the week and every third weekend with a 20-30 minute call response time
  • Clinical orientation and EPIC training will be provided over 1.5-2 weeks
  • Call coverage required after shift on weekdays (1530/1600-0700) and as scheduled on weekends
  • Duties include performing radiology procedures in inpatient, outpatient, OR, and ER settings, with high case variety and volume
  • Department has supervisors and coordinators on day shift and a supportive team environment
  • Scrubs are provided for staff
  • Radiologist on-site weekdays; after-hours images sent to teleradiology
  • IV starts are not required
  • May not be a current or former full time, part time, or PRN employee of any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year
  • Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
  • No RRA (Registered Radiology Assistants) used in the department
  • Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront and is limited to 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract; additional RTO, including post-assignment, will not be approved
  • Holiday coverage may be required if needed

Requirements


  • Minimum of 1 year of recent radiology technologist experience in an acute care setting
  • Active ARRT and BLS certifications are required
  • Current ND state license required; license required if applicable
  • Must have experience with C-arm equipment; O-arm experience preferred but training available
  • Experience with portables and fluoroscopy required
  • References required: one supervisor reference from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor reference from the last 3 years, with employment and rehire eligibility details
  • Must provide a copy of driver’s license for consideration
  • Pending licenses or certifications are not accepted
